Basement Pantry Project

We have a lot of kitchen stuff. A LOT. So we need some auxillary storage for some of it, you know, things like the pasta maker, the ice cream maker, the coffee maker....

So we're going to use the little room immediately under the kitchen, which was (when the previous owners lived here) a teenage boy's room. The previous resident left us this cryptic message on the wall.

Eat Tacos indeed! Yes, those are actually US postal service "Priority Mail" stickers. Weird. And a pain to peel off, too!

Our pantry project started by clearing off the walls, tearing up the wall-to-wall (smelly) carpet, taking out a folding plastic door, and then painting the floor.

The basement pantry is still in process (we need shelves, more shelves!) but we're pleased that it now officially exists.
